Scene Queen by Stardust World featuring Molly Melancholy is a high-voltage, neon-drenched love letter to mid-2000s scene-core that manages to feel entirely revitalized for today’s sound. Blending razor-sharp vocals with explosive electro-pop synth lines and deliciously theatrical performances, the track radiates pure, unfiltered main-character energy from the very first second. What makes it work so well isn’t just the heavy dose of nostalgia—it’s how seamlessly Stardust World marries peak Myspace-era drama with crisp, punchy modern production and an undeniably catchy hook. It’s loud, unapologetically bold, and thrillingly chaotic, serving as the ultimate anthem for throwing on heavy eyeliner, cranking the car volume to maximum, and channeling your most dramatic self. I give this a rating of 9/10 deducting a single point for the DIY cover art. Its cute but it doesn’t do this release justice. May have missed a few opportunities to gain listeners there. But overall this is a sick release! A nice break from the typical demonic type chaos we are used to around here.
