hey! hi yes hello lol my name is SuicideChild or just Sui for short lol and I am an artist based out of good old Boston, Massachusetts
How long have you been working / making music under the title Suicide Child and what is the meaning behind it?
SuicideChild is a nickname I actually had since a literal child lol it is pretty edgy but when i started doing music (seriously around 2019) it took on a life of its own and I adapted to it. I feel like the Suicide is the demonic, screaming anger rage induced side of my music, and the Child represents the purity, and innocent more harmonzing, “singing” style i try to do lol. But together it sort of makes a metaphor, like I’m killing off the “old me”, my “past”. Shedding off my old skin and transforming to my artistic self lol. Its not that deep but i like to think it is. Its kind of an oxymoron too like “Guns N Roses” or a good/evil combination like “Marilyn Manson” feel me lol.
Who gets bragging rights for helping you get to where you are now? Who are your day ones?
Man he probably wont expect this shoutout but I def need to give props to my old friend J-Pin. That dude really let me record for free in his basement, that really was the first times i ever recorded and got the feeling so shoutout him for that. Shoutout my videographer homie Roman Visuals too, hes been here with me since day one and still always looking out when it comes to the visuals.
What were you doing before all this started? Did you have other notable projects before this one?
Jack shit honestly lol. Working at god damn Dunkin Donuts and fantasizing about a way better life.
What can we expect from you in 2024? New music, visuals or tours?
Bangers baby! Tours would def be nice if I had more exposure lol. Def just planning on building a fanbase as I go. Music always going to be coming I just got to figure out this marketing and promo bullshit lol.
What are your long term goals? Where do you see yourself in 10 years. What about your end game?
Sucks we really can’t rap forever lol. In 10 years shit who knows if I even want to. But i always seen me getting into DJing and production. I wanna be like Lil Jon or Pauly D and just show up to the clubs and spin and vibe to other peoples music. And get paid on top of that too?!?! Word! But yeah in 10 years def wanna make short films and be behind the boards of music more.
With an interest in who your influences are, if you could go on tour with anyone in the world, who would be on the bill with you?
Limp Bizkit!! Lol fr though. Bad Bunny too cuz that shit would be a party every night, and you can’t get bigger than that lol.
What is your local music scene like? What are the pros and cons? And where do you see room for improvement?
Damn I can rant all day about this topic lmao. Pros is that there is so, so, so much talent out there, it is pretty inspiring. In all seriousness I know way more talented artists around here than in the mainstream. Cons is the gatekeepers like in every scene. The “show promoters” too are a cancer to the scene, I can really go on all day about them lmao fuck them but respect to the artists. The people behind the scenes be holding shit back and stirring up drama.

I just want to say shoutout all the other artists on the grind! Keep being original and unique and thank yall for keeping the underground alive and moving! Im probably actually one of the “least heavy” artists on here in a “trap metal” sense but thank you for giving me some time to speak.
