Thanks for taking some time to be interviewed. Can you just tell us briefly what your artist name is, and what you do?
My name is OLD SOUL , I’m an artist and producer from Virginia Beach , VA . I have a versatile sound ranging from Trapmetal to ambient melodic styles.
Whats the story behind your name? Very unique for our genre.
The name kinda just came to me one day it was the first name I thought of using . I’ve been called an old soul a lot throughout life , so I decided I should use it.
Makes sense. And it stands out and is easy to remember. We’re you in any bands before you started doing Trapmetal!? Because your vocals sounds hella refined and seasoned. You’re Metal vocalist foreal.
Thanks man! So I’ve been in metal bands but not as a vocalist, I played guitar in Applaud The Impaler and The Monolith. I’ve always practiced metal vocals throughout the years though and decided to incorporate them into my music.
And now it’s your turn to unleash the beast! I love it!!! Who gets bragging rights for supporting you and helping you get to where you are now?
I’d say all my true fans that stayed with me even through rough times when I wanted to give up, and the fans that got my symbol tattooed really helped me keep going and meant so much to me. They showed true support.
What’s your local music scene like? What’s are the pros and cons? And where do you see room for improvement?
Honestly there isn’t much of an underground rap scene out here, it’s more of a metal scene out here. I wish there were more trapmetal artists out here to do shows with.
If you could go on tour with anyone in the world, who would be on the bill with you? What is your dream tour?

What do you have planned? Any new music? New videos coming?
Tons of new music on the way, lot of unreleased stuff on my hard drive right now, plan on dropping an EP in the next few months. I plan on doing a music video for my song “Break” as well so look out for that!
What’s your writing process like? Do you just write songs constantly? And do you have any personal rituals you do before recording?
So usually I’ll smoke some dabs or a blunt, get some coffee, and produce beats all day. Then ill come back to all the beats piled on my hard drive and choose which ones I want to add vocals on.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? What about 10?
5 years from now I hope to see myself touring with some of my favorite artists and putting out even higher quality music. 10 years from now I hope to be a bigger artist with a larger following, and to be producing for a ton of my favorite artists.

Whats the story behind your first tattoo? And what about your favorite tattoo?
Well I was 16 when I got my first tattoo, got an outline of Spyro the dragon on my thigh haha, kinda want to get it covered up with better quality work. My favorite tattoo is either my OLD SOUL logo on my fingers, or my symbol I got on my face.

Super hard to choose just 5 but here are 5 I’ve been playing a ton lately
